Coding is an exciting topic that many teachers want to try, but with an emphasis on standards, how can you make it work for you? This poster session will display coding projects that align to content area curriculum. See examples of student work created in Scratch. One project showcased was done by 3rd grade students. They created drawings of animals they had researched and then coded them to share facts. Another project was done by 1st graders. This project involved creating and sharing artwork and some introductory coding. Both projects align with ELA and CSTA standards.
